Official Biography:
Educator & Innovator
Kate Cassidy is an education consultant, lecturer with Brock University’s Department of Communications, and a research associate with the Niagara Community Observatory.
She formerly held the position of Director of Continuing Education, Community Learning, and Youth University at Brock University where she assumed responsibilities over the educational programs of thousands of learners, and pioneered many innovative programs for university students, youth, and adults.
Trainer
Kate has also been a corporate trainer for a variety of organizations working with clients such as the Niagara Catholic School Board, the New Brunswick Public School Board, Canadian Tire and The International Atomic Energy Agency.
Connector
Over the course of her career Kate has served as Canadian Chair and Journal Reviewer for the Association for Experiential Education, as well as sat on committees and boards focused on innovative and inclusive education. She has been featured speaker, panel guest, and presenter at numerous educational, business, and policy gatherings in Canada and internationally.
Academic
Kate has written articles for education and business audiences and chapters for books such as The Theory of Experiential Education and Identities, Youth and Belonging. Kate Cassidy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a MEd and PhD in Education.
